I am a singer, radio presenter and music culture leader in Singapore with over 15 years of experience in music and radio broadcasting.

At the age of 12, with friends from the church choir, I took part in local TV talent show, Rolling Good Times and won the Girl Groups category. Since then I have performed musicals as part of the Singapore Singapore Repertory Theatre and at festivals such the Gilles Peterson Worldwide Festival (France), Laneway Festival (Singapore), BIGSOUND (Australia), V-ROX (Russia) and Concrete & Grass Festival (China). I have also released music on major labels such as Universal & EMI, as well as independent releases with labels, Syndicate, Groove Note Records, Medallion Sounds and my imprint, Ownself Records.

In 2006, after graduating with merit from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a diploma in Mass Communication 2006, I joined Mediacorp Radio’s 987fm. There I helmed morning drive time while pushing local music forward through my acoustic live weekend show, 987Stripped, til 2010. After a 2 year stint in Los Angeles, I returned to Singapore and became Programme Director of Lush99.5fm, re-branding the station to play indie/electronica with a focus on local art and contemporary music. The station made history in 2014 by playing 24 hours of all local music, reached over 1 million on social in the #ilistentolush campaign in 2015 and co-presented Singapore Sound System at BIGSOUND in Brisbane together with the National Arts Council.

Currently, I make music, present Singapore Sounds for news station 938 LIVE, and mentor young artists under the Noise Music Mentorship Programme. Music and media are my passions and my secret power is inspiring others to use their powers for good through the medium of art and culture.
