Dwayne graduated from NUS with a degree in Theatre Studies (Honours) back in 2007. These days, he leads the drama ministry at his church and also coaches drama at St. Anthony’s Canossian Secondary School.
A chameleon with this voice, he’s equally at home when narrating a serious corporate video, a huge commercial campaign or when he has to deliver a no-holds-barred high energy character voice.
On stage, he’s done a bit of everything — from Chestnuts and Broadway for Suakus with STAGES, to playing the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz (I Theatre), Long John Silver in Treasure Island, and Templeton in Charlotte’s Web. You might’ve seen him as the Record Keeper in Forbidden City with Singapore Repertory Theatre, or in Wild Rice’s Own Time Own Target, HOTEL, La Cage Aux Folles, Pinocchio (as the Blue Fairy), and Animal Farm (as Boxer and Old Major).
In 2021, he debuted The Amazing Celestial Race and Momotaro — not just as a playwright but also as assistant director. Last year, he took on the role of the Emcee in Sing’theatre’s Cabaret, and in 2024, he’ll be playing Mr. Mushnik in their production of Little Shop of Horrors. He also joined Pangdemonium’s Falling as the father.
