LIM KAY TONG
Kay Tong is a veteran Singaporean actor with an extensive career spanning film, television, and theatre. His screen credits include supporting roles in productions such as Shanghai Surprise (1986), Noble House (1988), and Brokedown Palace (1999), while he has taken lead roles in Growing Up (1996–2001), Perth (2004), and The Old Man And His Car (2025). Critics have lauded him as "Singapore's finest actor" and "Singapore's best-known actor," drawing comparisons to distinguished British thespians Ian McKellen and Alec Guinness.
Beyond acting, Lim is a co-founder and former board member of TheatreWorks. A notable career highlight was his portrayal of founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew in 1965, a film produced to mark Singapore's Golden Jubilee.
