Serene began her “voice career” as an actress and radio producer-presenter in 1997.
She was with Mediacorp radio for 3 years when it jointly ran the arts radio station, Passion 99.5FM with the National Arts Council. She has fronted the morning drive time and has done numerous voiceovers for radio and TV commercials eversince.
As an actress, Serene can be seen on stage and on screen in feature films and short films. She was named “Best Supporting Actress in 2005 for her role in Alfian Sa’at’s “Landmarks – Asian Boys Volume 2”. On screen, she is most remembered for her roles in “Autograph Book” (2001), “3 Meals” (2004), “Singapore Dreaming” (2006), “Dirty Bitch” (2009) and stage productions with Theatreworks, Wild Rice, The Finger Players, Teater Ekamatra and Action Theatre.
